On August 19, Okayama University Wind Orchestra participated in the university division of the64th All Japan Band Competition Chugoku held at Kurashiki Civic Hall. Seven groups from the Chugoku region participated in this competition, and Okayama University Wind Orchestra won the gold prize! This is the second consecutive year that the group has won a gold prize, following the 63rd competition held last year.

The leader of the group, Ms. MINAMI Mai (3rd year, School of Engineering), commented on this result, “This was achieved thanks to the efforts of each member of the group and the many people who supported us. We will continue to work hard to perform well at every performance opportunity, so please watch over us.”

The club is practicing hard for its 30th regular concert to be held at Okayama Symphony Hall on March 3, 2024.
