From September 17 to 20, the first joint exhibition was held at the National Dong Hwa University School of Arts in Hualien, Taiwan, by students and graduate students of the university, the Department of Art Education, School of Education, and the Department of Educational Science, Graduate School of Education, Okayama University.
On the 19th, a welcome concert of classical and jazz music by music students of National Dong Hwa University was held to welcome the visitors. This was followed by greetings from Professor Xu Xiuqiu, Dean of the National Dong Hwa University School of Arts, Professor OGAWA Yoko, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Okayama University, and Professor KIYOTA Tetsuo, Chair of Art Education, in which they stated that this exchange through art and music was the start of creating new expressions in Asia.
During the exchange meeting in the exhibition, Okayama University students gave explanations about their own artworks and answered questions from the professors and students of National Dong Hwa University, thus engaging in academic and cultural exchange. The Okayama University students commented that they were glad that their works were accepted by students from overseas and that they had continued to engage in expressive activities. A student from National Dong Hwa University also said, "I am glad that I was inspired by the students of Okayama University.
This was the first joint project between National Dong Hwa University School of Arts and the Graduate School of Education of Okayama University, which just signed a cooperation agreement in March of this year.
