From September 11 to October 6, three students in the Graduate School of Education Department of Educational Sciences participated in an internship program at the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (hereinafter APCEIU), a UNESCO agency in Seoul, Korea.
APCEIU is the Asia-Pacific center for GCED (Global Citizenship Education) research and provides training to many teachers from various countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Second-year students NAGATA Natsuki and FUKUTA Yuka, and first-year student KIYOKAWA Miku, who participated in the internship this time, deepened their understanding of international understanding education and global citizenship education through their involvement in creating teaching materials for teacher training, compiling materials, and creating promotional videos.
They were able to build a good relationship with the APCEIU staff, communicating with them in English. We expect that the knowledge and skills acquired through this training program will be applied in various educational and research settings in the future.
