From October 13 to 15, at the Makurazaki City Comprehensive Gymnasium in Kagoshima Prefecture, YAMANE Chika (4th year, School of Education) participated in the Naginata competition of the "Special National Sports Festival, Kagoshima National Athletic Meet" as a representative of Okayama Prefecture. She achieved 5th place in the adult women's section. This competition was conducted based on the qualifying rounds held in July, and YAMANE Chika earned her spot.

Reflecting on her performance at the competition, Ms. Yamane expressed her joy, saying, " My goal was to be selected as a representative of Okayama Prefecture and win a prize while a university student. Also, I am very happy to win a prize again with my classmate who I won a prize with when we were in high school. I will continue to practice hard and strive for victory."

This is the first time in 9 years that Okayama Prefecture has won a prize in the adult division! It is expected that Ms. Yamane will play a significant role in leading Naginata in Okayama Prefecture in the future!
