On January 9, students at the elementary school attached to the School of Education and the attached school of special needs education elementary section returned to schools after winter break to begin the third semester. After the opening ceremony, which was broadcast on TV, the long-awaited gift, gloves from Shohei OHTANI, was unveiled to the children.

Vice Principal KOBAYASHI Norihiko explained to the children at the attached elementary school that the glove is the same model used by Ohtani during the WBC, and it bears Ohtani's signature. The children were captivated by the TV screen as the details were explained. Finally, a message from Ohtani included in the glove was read aloud, eliciting loud applause and cheers throughout the school.

The received gloves were first used in a physical education class, where the students eagerly explored their feelings.

At the attached special support school, children gathered in the playroom, where Vice Principal KANEHISA Suguru unveiled the glove. After watching a demonstration using the glove, the children excitedly expressed their eagerness to try playing catch.

Both the attached elementary school and the attached special support school will continue to use the gloves in learning and play in the future.
