2014 Okayama University and Graduate School Matriculation Ceremony was held on April 8 at Momotaro Arena in Izumi-Cho, Kita-Ku, Okayama City, and a total of 3459 students and graduate students took a new step forward.

President Kiyoshi Morita stated, "The mission of the university is to contribute to society through research and educational activities. Study, polish your knowledge and have a mindset for the development of human society and contribution to peace." On behalf of the new students, Mr. Daichi Nakatsuka from the Faculty of Education stated his determination: "We shall recognize and have pride in being students of Okayama University and study hard to become persons who can contribute to society."

The vice president, deans, and department heads were introduced and celebration music was performed by the Okayama University Symphony Orchestra. After the ceremony, the cheering squad of the main cheering group cheered for the new students and livened up the hall.
