Eight Vietnamese students, who are enrolled in the 6th course of the master's degree program between Okayama University and Hue University, "Okayama-Hue International Master's Program" met the sponsors who are funding their scholarship after their arrival in Japan on April 9. They expressed their impression of Okayama and Okayama University, their enthusiasm to write a master thesis, and their gratitude to the sponsors and so on in Japanese.
The course is a master's degree program for Vietnamese students who have studied rural environmental management and agricultural development at Hue University in Vietnam for a year and a half, and transferring to the second year master's course in the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science, Okayama University and conferring a master's degree. As to the scholarship support, a Vietnamese student and a sponsor who agrees with the purpose of the course are connected by a one-on-one relationship.
Prof. Masaru Araki, Executive Director and Vice-President of Social Responsibility and International Affairs, Prof. Hirofumi Abe, Executive Director and Vice-President of Planning and General Affairs, Mr. Hirokazu Kadooka, Executive Director of Finance and Facilities, and other guests attended the meeting ceremony. The sponsors gave words of encouragement to the Vietnamese students, and it was a fruitful time spent getting to know each other.
