On April 19, Okayama University’s President Hirofumi Makino and Executive Vice President for International Affairs Hiroshi Kanzaki were delighted to receive a courtesy visit from a delegation led by President Tafdil Husni of Andalas University, Indonesia.

Andalas University and Okayama University are engaged in lively exchange activities that include the invitation of teaching staff and students, mutual exchange visits and the holding of seminars under the Japan Science and Technology Agency’s Sakura Science Exchange Program in Science (Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science). During the courtesy visit, President Makino, Executive Vice President Kanzaki, Dean of the Graduate School of Environment and Life Science Hiroaki Funahashi, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Science and Technology Kunio Kimura and other university officials exchanged views with the visiting group regarding the promotion of further exchanges.

A number of teaching staff and students from Andalas University are currently engaged in academic activities at Okayama University and we look forward to further positive exchanges in the future.
