On September 12, twelve educators from the Sub-Saharan African region of Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, etc., visited Okayama University and made a courtesy call to President Makino. The educators are trainees from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) who will learn practical teaching methods for math and science classes for two months until November 2nd, under Prof. Masakazu Kita from the Graduate School of Education.
This training program aims to cultivate human resources capable of practicing and disseminating high-quality math and science education, through visits and such to local elementary schools within the prefecture.
