On August 26, Okayama University and Okayama University Japan Educational Information Center (OJEIC) co-hosted the “Study in Japan Fair” at the Novotel Yangon Max in Yangon, Myanmar. This event was held in corporation with the Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) and The Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan (SixERS).
Japanese embassy held seminars on support offered to those studying in Japan. In addition, talks by studying in Japan alumni were given. Individual consultations were offered by a total of 45 institutions, which included 25 Japanese universities, seven Japanese language schools, and four scholarship related institutions. The fair was a one-stop source of information for preparing to study in Japan, by not only providing information on exams required to study in Japan, scholarships, and educational institutions, but also offering career guidance on employment after study in Japan.
