Consul General Mr. Li Tianran of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Osaka visited Okayama University on February 9, paying a courtesy call to President Hirofumi Makino.
Consul General Li, President Makino and Executive Vice President for International Affairs Hiroshi Kanzaki exchanged views on conditions for interchanges between P.R. China and Okayama University and strengthening international ties in the future. Executive Vice President Kanzaki brought up student exchanges between our university and P.R. China, and requested cooperation to allow more outstanding Chinese exchange students to study abroad at Okayama University in the future. Consul General Li said that he intended to introduce Okayama University at the meeting on Japanese-Chinese educational exchanges scheduled to be held in November this year, and that he wanted to support strong ties between our university and Chinese universities and hospitals in joint research and human resources development in the field of regenerative medicine.
