The award ceremony for the Student Cultural Encouragement Award/Student Sports Award 2017 was held at the Okayama University 50th Anniversary Hall on March 22, 2018, with 77 students and 15 groups being awarded prizes in the Individual Section and the Group Section, respectively.

In the ceremony, Executive Vice President for Education, Hiroshi Sano, presented certificates to representatives of the award winners. He offered words of encouragement, saying, “I believe that not only the learning that you have gained through the regular curriculum, but also the experience in the extracurricular activities that you have gained with extra effort will become a great asset for you when you go out into the world. I hope for your future success.”
