On March 9, 2018, the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science held a ceremony for the opening of an Okayama University Office in District 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which was launched on the same day. This office was opened with the full understanding of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai Province (Dong Nai DOST) as part of efforts to further strengthen exchange with the department. The opening ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science, Hiroaki Funahashi, and officials from Dong Nai DOST and Nong Lam University, located in Ho Chi Minh City. Five young professors in charge of lecturers in a summer school at Nong Lam University, as well as students of Okayama University who are involved in field practice in Nong Lam University and Dong Nai DOST, also attended and celebrated the opening.
