Okayama University received a FY 2018 Future Generations Support Award for Corporations, and an awarding ceremony was held on the Tsushima Campus on June 7. Okayama University was the only institution of higher education to receive this award in FY 2018.
This award is granted by the Governors’ Alliance for Supporting Future Generations for Japan’s Revitalization to corporations and other business organizations making unique and progressive efforts to support women, young people and families raising children, and promote work-style reform. Award winners’ relevant activities are widely publicized around the country. The award was established to encourage not only the business community but also the community at large to support future generations and to help create a better environment for future generations.
Mr. Toshiyuki Wani, deputy director of the Department of Citizens Services presented an award certificate to Dr. Kayo Takahashi, Executive Director and Executive Vice President for Planning, Evaluation and General Affairs.
Okayama University will continue to promote diversity in a working environment where faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds can play important roles.
