On June 19, a memorial service for Mr. Tomio Kanemitsu, an honorary member of Okayama University and Okayama University Alumni adviser, who passed away on May 10, was held at the 50th Anniversary T. Kanemitsu Hall.

The late Mr. Kanemitsu graduated from Okayama University in 1954 as one of the second batch of students of the Department of Law, Faculty of Law. For about 20 years, he greatly contributed to the development of Okayama University by supporting its 50th anniversary project and helping the University improve its education and research system and support system for international students.

It was a great memorial service with the participation of 300 people from all over Japan, including the bereaved family, members of Alumni Association of Faculties of Law, Letters and Economics, members of Alumni Association of Okayama University Debate Club “Cosmos-kai,” and the late Mr. Kanemitsu’s old friends.
