On August 8, Okayama University held the AY 2018 External Evaluation Committee Meeting to review the implementation status of the PRIME program: Producing “All-Round Achievers” in a Global Community, which was selected to receive a grant under the Top Global University Project established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
At the meeting, university President Hirofumi Makino; Kayo Takahashi, Executive Vice President for Planning and General Affairs; Hiroshi Sano, Executive Vice President for Education, International Affairs; and Yoshiyuki Murata, Director of the Center for Global Partnerships and Education reported on activities in the previous academic year and a discussion on matters of concern. Committee members presented opinions such as: “It is essential to examine project issues in detail and give future direction to the project in view of the 7th year’s intermediate evaluation. It is also important that efforts have been made in respective departments as well as university-wide. It is expected that feedback on the results of such efforts will be developed into initiatives to be addressed by the whole university.”
