Okayama University held its Autumn Matriculation Ceremony for undergraduates and graduate school students at the 50th Anniversary Hall on October 6. Twenty-five newly enrolled Discovery Program for Global Learners students and 72 graduate students started their campus life at Okayama University.

In his speech, President Hirofumi Makino encouraged the newly enrolled students by saying, “We expect that you will become global leaders, obtain an entrepreneurial spirit and an innovative outlook, and be interdisciplinary collaborators during your studies at Okayama University.” Representing the new students, TANUWIJAYA Kristoforus Celli, a student in the Discovery Program for Global Learners, took an oath, saying, “We, the new students of academic year 2018, vow to devote ourselves towards not only our motivations and desires but also becoming an integral part of this ever changing society’s improvement towards a better future.”
