On June 27, Okayama University’s Center for Global Partnerships and Education held a Presentation Session for Japanese Studies Culture and Society and a Program Completion Ceremony for students of “Okayama University Integrated Japanese Language and Culture Program for Leiden University 2018”.
This was new program started from 2018 collaborated with Leiden University, focused on improvement of Japanese Language ability, Understanding of Japanese culture and students exchange. 23 students from Leiden University came to study and deepen their knowledge from April 2018 to June 2018 for three months as the 1st commemorable group of the student.
At the Presentation Session, students gave the speech about their most impressive experience during the program with using beautiful slides they made for this session and it was our great pleasure to be the witness to their successes.
The Program Completion Ceremony began with the speech of Dr. Yoshiyuki Murata, Director of Center for Global Partnerships and Education, followed with the speech of Senior Assistant Professor Yuki Sasaki, who is in charge of curriculum development, and Senior Assistant Professor Masahiro Kijima, who is in charge of program development. They gave the speech about the achievements of the program before the awarding of the Certificate of Participation handed to the students.
The University vision is to be a pathway to know good society and hope this experience would be a stepping stone for their bright future.
This Ceremony was concluded with a ceremony to celebrate the establishment of the Netherlands Branch, the 54th branch of Okayama University International Alumni.
