On May 29, Vice President Han Dongyu of Northeast Normal University, China, and Deputy Dean Gao Ying of its Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan (PSCSJ) visited Okayama University and paid a courtesy call on President MAKINO Hirofumi.

The guests were welcomed by President Makino, Executive Director for Education and Provost SANO Hiroshi, and Vice President KADOTA Isao of the Institute of Global Human Resource Development. Vice President Han stated that Okayama University was one of Northeast Normal University’s most important partner schools with a long-established cooperative framework, and that it has long supported the PSCSJ (providing education to government-sponsored exchange students) through teacher dispatch and other programs. He also expressed his hope to enhance further this relationship. President Makino introduced initiatives undertaken by Okayama University to promote SDGs. The participants exchanged opinions to inspire future exchange activities.

This visit will hopefully contribute to further interaction between the parties.
