Utilization guidance of the Health Service Center
You can visit at any time during office hours of the Health Service Center (8:30 am ~ 5:00 pm on weekdays) when you need a consultation. Health certification can be issued after health check-ups, when you ask for it. Health insurance card is not necessary and you don't need to pay any money when you visit our center.
Note:
- A visit to other medical facilities requires you to present a health insurance card and pay their regular fees. International students and staffs are supposed to be enrolled in National Health Insurance. Applications are accepted at the municipal office of the city (town, or village) where you live. Ask the office about your qualification for National Health Insurance.
- For international students who are not familiar with medical facilities around Okayama University, the Health Service Center can help you find appropriate hospitals, clinics, or dentists.
- Large hospitals may charge extra fees in addition to actual medical expenses when you visit without a letter of introduction (medical record). Unless you have an emergency, visit the Health Service Center first to get a letter of introduction.
