Management of adult congenital heart disease is one of our new challenges now. In order to give the best care for these patients, we enhance collaboration and partnership. Also, as a core hospital in the Chugoku and Shikoku areas, we treat the patients with end-stage heart failure using a ventricular assist device. We also accept the patients with acute aortic dissection 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are one of the biggest teams of congenital heart surgery in Japan, accepting the patients from all over the world and performing 350 heart surgeries annually. Our team with surgeons, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, nurses, and medical engineers provide expert care seamlessly. We are the designated hospital for acute aortic dissection in Okayama prefecture accepting the patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are also the designated hospital for the treatment of end-stage heart failure using a ventricular assist device.
