What is Organ Transplant Center?
Organ transplantation is the last resort for patients with end-stage diseases which are resistant to other treatment options. Okayama University Hospital is one of the few certified multi-organ transplant institutions in Japan, dealing with lung, liver, kidney, and small intestine transplants. Organ Transplant Center was established at Okayama University Hospital in January 2011 and has been one of the leading transplant centers in Japan. Our role is to manage all aspects of organ transplantation, including planning of transplant options, transplant surgery and post-transplant care. Our team has experts of each organ transplantation and is dedicated to helping patients with end-stage diseases through every stage of a successful transplantation.
