What is the Division of Hemodialysis and Apheresis?
Our division provides hemodialysis therapy to patients with acute and chronic renal failure, maintenance hemodialysis patients requiring intervention and surgery in this hospital, and pre-renal transplant patients. Management of peritoneal dialysis is also performed. In addition, patients with some specific diseases such as neurological disease, collagen disease, and inflammatory bowel disease can receive apheresis therapy including plasma exchange and leukocytapheresis in this division. We have fifteen sets of hemodialysis equipment, fifteen scale beds with monitoring systems, and one plasma exchange and plasma adsorption system. Six medical staff members, seven nurses, and one clinical engineer properly provide hemodialysis and apheresis therapies.
